From an early age, I was captivated by the stock market—thanks to my grandfather, a financial planner whose stories and lessons turned numbers into something meaningful. While other kids unwrapped toys during the holidays, I was gifted stocks. Though I may have wished for a “My Little Pony” instead, those moments spent analyzing investments with him ignited a lifelong interest in financial planning and its power to transform lives. Over time, I came to understand that life doesn’t come with a pause button, and navigating financial transitions requires both knowledge and foresight.
A deeply personal experience reinforced the importance of compassionate financial guidance during life’s most challenging moments. I wanted to be that trusted professional—someone who knew the right questions to ask, the strategies to explore, and how to piece everything together to create meaningful solutions. Recognizing the transformative power of financial literacy, I made a bold career shift from special education kindergarten teacher to financial advisor.
When selecting a financial advisor, I encourage people to look beyond credentials like certifications and fiduciary status. While those are essential, it’s just as important to find someone who truly listens, understands your goals, and helps you navigate the complexities of financial decision-making. Don’t let information overload or fear-based media narratives hold you back. A great advisor will take the time to answer every question—every time. My approach is to guide clients as they reflect on the past, engage with the present, and prepare for the future. But the most rewarding part of my work? Watching them achieve their purpose. That level of care is at the heart of everything we do at IAG Wealth Partners.
I live in Summit with my husband, Tim, and our dog, Louie. I love anything that gets me outdoors—riding my horse, running, biking, kayaking, cross-country skiing, or simply being on the water. Passionate about service, I’m honored to be a member of the Ambassadors of Generous Giving Board of the National Christian Foundation. I also serve on the Board of Directors for Shorehaven Lutheran Homes and as Vice President of PEO International, a philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing women’s education and leadership. Supporting veterans is especially close to my heart, and I was privileged to accompany my father on his Stars and Stripes Honor Flight—a truly unforgettable experience.
