Recording 40 Years

When preparing for IAG’s 40th anniversary, we knew we wanted to make something timeless that would not only talk about the last 40 years of the firm, but also where the company is headed in the future. Telling the story of what makes IAG special can be difficult, but we had some great events to highlight that would make it possible.

The first event was the always-fantastic Christmas Wine & Cheer. The entire IAG team worked incredibly hard to put the party together. One of the best parts of IAG is seeing how many clients come and enjoy the events. We have a wonderful time throwing them and seeing how many clients have gone to events over the years and made friends with each other is remarkable. All the advisors love getting to spend time with their clients in a fun setting like this. The food and drinks were terrific, and we knew this would be a great part of the IAG experience to show in the video.

The other big event we chose shows the generosity of the partners and how much they value the employees at IAG. The entire company spent a fantastic weekend in Kohler, WI this January. It was a great way to come together as a company outside of work. The highlight of the weekend was a fabulous Sunday night dinner with all staff and spouses, with stellar music, food, and overall atmosphere. It was a tremendous way to show off the incredible culture that working at IAG provides.

There are also other items we wanted to feature in the video. The support staff working together, client meetings, and of course members of IAG leadership talking about what makes IAG special. There are a few quotes that stand out that help illustrate this point:

Lori Watt, CFP®, Managing Partner & President: “We have become a big family, with our clients as well. They feel part of that family.”

Scott D. Heins, CFP®, Partner, IAG Chief Investment Officer: “We built our firm one person at a time, one client at a time. So clients are never numbers, they’re people.”

Chris Mitchell, CFP®, Managing Partner: “We slowly and surely grew based on what’s important to us which is people and values.”

Tom Peterson, Partner: “I think we have the right people in place to really continue this journey forward, and it’s pretty exciting.”

We had a great time participating in the video and getting it ready to show everyone. We hope you enjoy it as well!

Quote of the week: Henry Ford: “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
